The Job Queue has the below status in Business Central.
🟦 Ready
🟢 In Process
🟥 On Hold
⏳ On Hold Due to Inactivity
❌ Error
✅ Finished
🟦 Ready
🔹The job queue entry is ready to be run.
🔹Once the job is moved from On Hold (manually or via automation), & after its Earliest Start Date/Time is met, it goes to Ready.
🔹If recurring, after one run completes, it may be enqueued back to Ready for the next scheduled run.
🟢 In Process
🔹The job queue entry is in process.
🔹This field updates while the job queue is running.
🔹Scheduler picks up a Ready job, launches it; while executing, status is In Process.
🟥 On Hold
🔹The default status of the job queue entry when you create it.
🔹Choose the "Set Status to Ready" action to change the status to Ready.
🔹Choose the "Set On Hold" action to revert the status to On Hold.
⏳ On Hold Due to Inactivity
🔹This status is used mainly for recurring Job Queue entries.
🔹Especially for synchronization-type jobs (for example, between Business Central and Common Data Service / Dataverse).
❌ Error
🔹Something went wrong during execution.
🔹The job didn’t complete successfully.
🔹If the job fails (e.g. unhandled exception), BC marks it Error.
✅ Finished
🔹The job completed successfully.
🔹After "In Process" finishes without error.
